Potato

Take a potato and slice it. Sprinkle a pinch of salt on the slice. Now rub it all over the red and itchy area affected by chilblains. Potato gives a cooling effect and helps to soothe the redness and itching.

Honey and Egg

A very effective remedy for a quick cure of chilblains. Take one egg white. Add a tablespoon of honey, a teaspoon of glycerine and a little flour. Apply this paste all over the chilblains. Let it stand for 6 to 8 hours. Wash off.

Onion

Take a raw onion. Slice it . Rub on the chilblains ; let the juice of the onion soak into the skin. It soothes the itching and pain instantly. If you suffer from chilblain use this remedy regularly in winter.

Oil Massage

Doing regular massage of the hands and feet in winter with any warmed vegetable oil helps in reducing the chilblains.
