It is often seen that the elbows appear darker than the arms. The reason behind is the friction that the elbows have to undergo everyday like leaning them on the desk or bench and other surfaces. Usually dead skin gather on elbows due to many fine fold on the elbow. If proper care is not taken to remove these cells, they may make the elbow appear dark.

So, proper scrubbing and moisturizing is imperative to beautify your elbow and avoid friction of the elbows as much as you can.

How to get rid of dark elbows?:

Lemon:
Cut a lemon in two halves. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and rub it on the elbow in circular motion. The bleaching agent present in lemon lightens the colour of the elbow. Repeat it once or twice in a week.

Lemon Juice and Boric Acid:
Dissolve one teaspoon boric acid in a cup of hot water and add to it juice of one lemon. Add two tablespoon of rosewater and half tablespoon of glycerine. Mix well and store the solution in a jar. Rub this solution on elbow. Leave it and later rinse with water. It makes the elbow fairer.

Chickpea powder and Milk:
Take two tablespoon of gram four(also known as chickpea powder) and add one teaspoon of turmeric powder. Add enough curd to make a smooth paste. Apply it on the elbows. Rub smoothly. Let it remain for 15 minutes and wash with cold water. It is a very good scrub that removes the dead skin and cleans the skin.

Turmeric and Lemon:
Take one tablespoon of turmeric powder. Add the juice of one lemon. Mix well. Apply this thick paste on the elbows and rub firmly. Leave it for 15 minutes and then wash with milk and then with water. This pack is very effective in lightening the colour. Regular use give wonderful result.
